According to Iron Mountain, the 7 records-management trends for 2010 include taking control of e-mail with an archive, increased regulations in regards to protecting personal information, the role of a company’s records manager will continue to grow, usage of the cloud will become more apparent as companies start to understand the benefits of reduced physical resource costs, health care data will explode in response to universal health care, outsourcing active will increase along with regulatory and compliance requirements, and e-discovery in-house will grow in an attempt to reduce legal fees.
