Oracle Buys Silver Creek Systems

By DatabaseJournal.com Staff

A provider of product data quality solutions, Silver Creek Systems, Inc was acquired by Oracle. Silver Creek’s product (DataLens) is a data quality solution that simplifies complex product descriptions and enables companies to manage that product data—improving time-to-market for new products, enhancing the supply chain, increasing operational efficiencies, and facilitating better business decisions.

Combining the Silver Creek solution with Oracle is said to “enhance product data quality across enterprise applications including Oracle’s Product Information Management Data Hub, Agile Product Lifecycle Management, Supply Chain Management and Enterprise Resource Planning offerings” and will “complement Oracle’s Information Management offerings that include Oracle Data Integration, Oracle Data Quality, Oracle Master Data Management, and Oracle Business Intelligence, to provide a more complete and integrated solution.”
