EnterpriseDB has announced that Genscape, a provider of real-time power and natural gas supply information for the energy market, has selected Postgres Plus Advanced Server as their database for the collection of proprietary and public data. Reasons for the selection of Postgres were sited as:

  • its ability to handle a high-transaction environment
  • its compatibility with existing database infrastructure
  • the opportunity to substitute a higher cost tool with a scalable, enterprise-class open source database product
