SSWUG considers helping SQL Server users with statistical collection

By DatabaseJournal.com Staff

Stephen Wynkoop, founder and editor for SSWUG.ORG – the SQL Server Worldwide User’s Group has put out a question/consideration for subscribers—offering to track trend-type items on their servers. SSWUG would provide a script to run and in return SSWUG would provide a place (on SSWUG servers) to house that information and then provide online tools to view and forecast out future trends. As it stands, it looks like SSWUG would use the statistics to help author in-depth articles as well as addition resources, scripts, and how-to type collateral that ultimately helps the end users of SSWUG. A WIN-WIN scenario.

This is currently in the planning stages so if you’re a member over at SSWUG let Stephen know what you think.
