Webinar and Download to Counter the February Zero-Day Vulnerability

By DatabaseJournal.com Staff

In response to the recent zero-day vulnerability disclosed at the Black Hat conference, Application Security, Inc. is offering the following live webinar:

Protect Your Oracle Databases from the February 2010 Zero-Day Vulnerability

Date: February 11, 2010

Time: 11:00 - 12:00 PM EST

Hosted by: Application Security, Inc.

If you’re unfamiliar with the vulnerability, David Litchfield, researcher at NGS Consulting, performed a demonstration at the Black Hat conference that exposed how a user could bypass Oracle Label Security and take complete control over an Oracle 11g database—granting himself system level privileges.

Currently there is no fix available from Oracle but Application Security, Inc. has provided a download for a custom policy and check to specifically find these privileges and learn if your Oracle databases are vulnerable.

Clearly this webinar is a must see as Application Security, Inc. will walk us through what we need to know in countering this threat.
