Fourth Service Pack for SQL Server 2005 Database Confirmed

Following overwhelming customer requests, Microsoft has decided to release a fourth service pack for it SQL Server 2005 database which will be available before the end of 2010. This will most likely be the last service pack for SQL Server 2005 which will enter into extended support on 4/13/2011. Extended support will be available through 4/12/2016.

Microsoft will also release SQL Server 2008 R2 in May and plans to release SQL Server 2008 SP2 in the third quarter of 2010.
