F5 and Oracle Have Created the Oracle Enterprise Manager Plug-in for BIG-IP

By DatabaseJournal.com Staff

A newly released Oracle Enterprise Manager plug-in from F5 Networks is available for optimizing the use of F5’s BIG-IP Application Delivery Controller. Together, F5 Networks, Inc. and Oracle have developed a solution that provides mutual customers with the ability to manage, integrate, and optimize deployments of Oracle Enterprise Manager that make use of F5’s BIG-IP through:

  • Centralized monitoring of the entire enterprise
  • Automatically tracked configuration changes
  • Alerts to administrators of potential issues on pre-defined thresholds
  • Reports summarizing key information about BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager availability, performance, and configuration easily accessed from the Enterprise Manager Grid Control console

This plug-in to monitor F5 BIG-IP solutions directly within Oracle Enterprise Manager is available for download at F5 DevCentral and the Oracle Technology Network.
