The new version 6.2 of the Encryption Wizard for Oracle has been released from Relational Database Consultants Inc. (RDC). The Encryption Wizard has intelligent re-key features to offer more security against data theft and it’s transparent database encryption software suite communicates with Oracle RDBMS. The re-key can be performed though the Encryption Wizard GUI or by using a scheduler.

David Singer, RDC lead developer, said, “We implement re-keying with automated recovery features in case of a database failure. Re-keying can take time for large amounts of data and without intelligent recovery data loss can occur. With re-keying implemented the Encryption Wizard will enable security managers and CSO’s to bring their sensitive Oracle data to compliance without the high costs usually associated with such efforts.”
