By DatabaseJournal.com Staff

With this, new and certified with CTP of SQL Server 2008 R2, release by Attunity, user can now capture and replicate changes that have been made to the new versions of SQL Server. Attunity’s SQL Server-CDC Suite for SSIS includes features such as:

  • Support for log-based CDC for SQL Server 2008/2005/2000, with no installation on the data server
  • Support for multiple SQL Server editions not just Enterprise Edition
  • Support for data replication across heterogeneous target databases
  • Is integrated with SSIS and Business Intelligence Development Studio

As noted by Derek Comingore, SQL Server MVP and founder of BI Voyage, a Microsoft Business Intelligence & Data Warehousing solutions provider:

"Attunity complements SQL Server very well in adding heterogeneous data replication capabilities and the integration of their products with SSIS makes them very easy to use," and any "Customers who need to replicate data from SQL Server 2008 will find the product a natural choice as it provides a seamless, unified, and consistent solution for change data capture needs over several mainstream enterprise data sources using SQL Server Integration Services."
