SQL Server 2008 R2 to be Released in May

Having reached release-to-manufacturing status, Microsoft’s SQL Server 2008 R2 is now scheduled to be released, first on May 3 to subscribers of Microsoft’s TechNet and MSDN professional services, and then globally on May 13. The Standard, Enterprise, and Datacenter editions of SQL Server 2008 R2 are all going to be released; however, the Parallel Data Warehouse version is still in testing.
