Database Security Features and Performance Improvements are Added to Embedded Database ExtremeDB

Embedded database provider McObject is said to release version 4.1 in mid-May even though some customers already have the upgrade. New to this version include database security features to help detect unauthorized modification to data and prevent access or tapering through cyclic redundancy checks and RC4 encryption respectively. On the performance side, ExtremeDB has improved the processes that manage the interaction with persistent media, all without changes to application code, but additional performance gains are said to exist if minor application code changes were undertaken.
