Providing Database Security with Ingres

By DatabaseJournal.com Staff

PrimeKey Solutions, a company providing open source security software to many key public and commercial clients worldwide, has now migrated its technology to Ingres Corporation’s database and will be using the database to store its critical encryption and security data. Ingres open source database was chosen because of its increasing popularity, low total cost of ownership, and Ingres’ superior support to ISV partners.

Ingres database has a proven record in securing data with features like role separation, fine-grained security auditing, and security alarms which help monitor and analyze attempts to access information. Ingres has also developed intuitive tools to help companies migrate their database schema objects along with database procedures from other databases to Ingres open source database.
