Oracle’s Sun Merger; Seems Monty Just Won’t Give Up

More grumbles from Michael “Monty” Widenius over the recent Oracle takeover of Sun Microsystems is in the works. Seems Monty has filed an appeal with the European courts against the decision by the European competition authorities that cleared the merger. While the EU is aware of the appeal they are still unaware of the details but stating that “We will defend our decision in court”.

And to date, all that is being heard from Monty is that he is not ready to comment on the appeal until Oracle responds and provides yet further proof of “true commitments”.
