O’Reily open source convention has announced the availability of DB Relay that enables easy database access for web application development. With DB Relay, standard technology and simple infrastructure enable a cost effective development of intranet tools to interact with databases; eliminating the need for proprietary software installation on multiple clients. DB Relay utilizes JSON over HTTP to interact with a variety of back-end databases; working with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and databases with ODBC interfaces.
