IPAD Support for Mobile Database Administration

By DatabaseJournal.com Staff

The Apple iPad, through RockSolid SQL, is now able to provide mobile database administration for their RockSolid SQL Server management application; mitigating common SQL Server DBA issue by the use of predictive issue avoidance and automated issue resolution.

“Database support is by its very nature a 24x7 activity. DBAs are used to being on call after hours, but this has typically meant carrying a laptop and 3G device or restricting how far they go from home while they are on call” says RockSolid SQL Director, Tony Bain. “RockSolid’s iPad support gives DBAs the ability to manage their SQL Server environment from a much smaller and more mobile device. The freedom this provides is tremendous, but this also results in faster response and resolution” says Tony.
