The BTR2SQL driver from Mertech allows companies to run Btrieve-based applications with MySQL without changing source code. The latest driver, BTR2SQL, is now available for download allows those applications that currently work with Btrieve to quickly work with a SQL database server.

“We are seeing strong interest for MySQL among Independent Software Vendors (ISVs). MySQL’s low total cost of ownership (TCO) is very attractive for ISVs looking to embed a database with their applications,” said Riaz Merchant, CEO of Mertech Data Systems.
