Sybase IQ 15 Database Joined with Optimized HP Servers Results in Impressive BI Solution

By DatabaseJournal.com Staff

“Sybase IQ has always been the smart choice for delivering analytics results. Now, together with HP servers optimized for data intensive workloads, Sybase IQ enables a new generation of analytics capability—such as predictive business analytics, ad-hoc queries capabilities and deep-dive data mining—that meets today’s business challenges,” says Sybase. HP and Sybase are doing this through a new joint BI reference architecture that has the Sybase IQ 15 database running on HP servers. Some of what this means for users is fast query performance with parallel query processing capability and enhanced query algorithms, range portioning and configurable table spaces, plus independent scalability of compute power and storage capacity, all of which contribute to reduced overhead, storage costs and maintenance requirements.
