Now available from Rhomobile is open source sync server, RhoSync version 2.0, which allows smartphone users to access synchronized enterprise application data even when offline or disconnected plus letting them interact with data before sending it back. Because it was built specifically for smartphones, RhoSync takes advantage of their built-in push APIs which allows near real-time data updates without draining the battery, and can provide a simplified development process with data available in the local database. New features of RhoSync 2.0 include scalable data sync by using the open source Redis key-value database for server data caching and differencing; support for writing iPhone apps in Objective C; and availability on RhoHub as Software as a Service, as well as an on-premises sync server.
