FileMaker Go Database Updated to Include More Ways of Sharing Data

By DatabaseJournal.com Staff

FileMaker Go for iPhone and iPad, which lets users view, edit, and search FileMaker Pro database records while on the go, is now available for download as version 1.1. Available free for existing users, significant updates have been made to FileMaker Go and users are now able to:

  • Make, save, and email PDF reports using their data, as well as copy and email entire databases directly from FileMaker Go
  • Insert photos directly into the database, and email them out later
  • Import records from local or hosted FileMaker databases using script steps
  • And iOS app developers can use enhanced URL protocol to specify FileMaker script and parameters

"FileMaker Go for iPhone and FileMaker Go for iPad have stirred up huge excitement in the FileMaker community and beyond. Initial acceptance has been strong and this is just the beginning," said Ryan Rosenberg, vice president of marketing and services for FileMaker, Inc. "With these free updates, we are already making both apps even more powerful and adding new ways to share information remotely."
