Over 700 SAP Clients Turn to IBM DB2

By DatabaseJournal.com Staff

Over 700 SAP Clients Turn to IBM DB2 within the last 12 months to help handle heavy database workloads and improve performance, all at a lower cost. In a survey of 2,500 CIOs, 74% stated they are wanting to establish flexible infrastructures that can grow with their business; giving credit to IBM’s statement that their database software provides efficient and flexible support across all industries for SAP applications.

"IT departments are handling more data faster than ever before to help optimize business results. CIOs are using technology in new ways to extract the most value from data and address both business and IT need to eliminate wasteful costs," said Arvind Krishna, general manager, IBM Information Management. "The momentum we are seeing is a result of global demand for both greater insights and greater efficiency in a fast-paced business environment."
