New Oracle VM Templates for Oracle Database 11gR2 and RAC

Oracle has release new Oracle VM templates for Oracle Database 11gR2 and Real Application Clusters (RAC); allowing customers to deploy a fully configured software stack easily with consistent and simplified management. These new templates are available for 32-bit or 64-bit systems.

“Only Oracle offers the unique combination of clustering and virtualization,” said Wim Coekaerts, senior vice president, Linux and Virtualization Engineering, Oracle. “Using an Oracle VM infrastructure combined with the performance, scalability and resiliency of Oracle Real Application Clusters and Oracle VM Templates, we help customers significantly reduce deployment and operational costs while enabling a highly available infrastructure.”
