Ingres, an Open Source Database Management Company Expands into Japan

Ingres and NST partner to bring open source relational database and analytics to Japan. The partnerships was formed as NST selected Ingres because of their reputation and database capabilities; offering Ingres 10 and Ingres VectorWise to their customer base.

"Customers around the world are realizing the value that business intelligence and analytics can bring to their organizations," said Roger Burkhardt, president and CEO of Ingres worldwide. "The Ingres and NST partnership will offer an enterprise-class database and breakthrough analytics at a much lower price point to existing technologies, giving the Japanese market the ability to deliver rich analytics to all corners of the organization."
