Open-Source COBOL for North American Market from Speedware

Speedware signs agreement with COBOL-IT to distribute enterprise class open source COBOL within the North American market; helping to support the 60% of COBOL programs used daily by enterprises around the world. Speedware will also provide 24×7 technical support, re-hosting/system integration services, and training as part of the deal. The added solution of open source COBOL allows the many COBOL sites to take advantage of the open systems world and help reduce the premium prices for proprietary COBOL compilers.
