Gemini has released a real-time log processing based on Flume and Cassandra as open source; allowing for the processing of massive volumes of production system logs into graphical reports. Additionally, logs from different data centers can be aggregated and analyzed as a single database; allowing for the improved quality and timeliness of BI operations. The solution uses Flume to stream log entries in real-time and inserted into a Cassandra NoSQL database that allows for reports to be updated in real-time.
