Oracle has produced an update to MySQL; making MySQL 5.5 Enterprise Edition available that delivers increased manageability, higher performance, and lower TCO. MySQL 5.5 Enterprise Edition is a subscription offering that comes with monitoring, backup and design tools, and 24×7 support and addes to this release MySQL Enterprise Backup and MySQL Workbench as well as MySQL Enterprise Monitoring enhancements.
