Visual Studio 2010 Database Development builds on Visual Studio 2008 Database Edition and includes features only available in a GDR (General Distribution Release) and power tools. New features include TSQL Intellisense, Code Analysis, a specialized Server Project template, and deeper database project configuration.

Existing functionality has also been enhanced, including richer Schema Compare configuration and general improvements in the Visual Studio IDE.
