mssqlXpress 0.95 Beta Release Available

By DatabaseJournal.com Staff

Speciality Applications is announcing the beta release of mssqlXpress, a tool that enables version history for stored procedures, triggers, and databases. Combining the best features of Enterprise Manager and Query Analyzer, mssqlXpress offers an MDI interface to enable the easy copying and pasting of code between objects.

The product is in beta for the next 28 days, at which time the full version is expected to be officially released. Pricing is expected to be $59.99 for the full release.

Beta version 0.95 introduces a basic Visual Source Safe integration. Other new additions include code templates in the editor windows; a new code complete feature available when editing a stored procedure, trigger, view or SQL script; the ability to define collapsible sections of stored procedures, triggers, views and SQL scripts; shortcut keys for bookmarks in editor windows; and automatically updating of lists whenever objects are added or removed from a database.

Additional information and downloads for the beta release are available at http://www.xpressapps.com.
