The Encirq 2e suite gives developers a database suitable for embedded systems, along with the tools to customize it for particular applications. According to the company, it's possible to fit such an application into a memory footprint of less than 100KB.
The suite consists of a SQL database engine, a tool for customizing database components, a high-level database programming language, and libraries of services and adapters for commonly used components.
Since it's programmable, Encirq 2e allows developers to define interfaces and functions instead of writing the application to a fixed API. In addition, the database can accommodate data from anywhere, including real-time data and events -- even streams, the company claims -- not just stored historical data.
