Alpha Five: A Database and Application Development Tool

By DatabaseJournal.com Staff

[From PC Magazine]

Alpha Software's Alpha Five Version 5 has Microsoft Access square in its sights. This robust relational database program offers sophisticated, custom application-design ability through its easy, menu-driven coding. Extensive features, menu-driven programming, and the multiple help manuals on the CD make Alpha Five a good choice for experienced database application developers and first-time users alike.

Transferring existing databases to Alpha Five is effortless. You can easily import files from Microsoft Access, Excel, Outlook, and Visual FoxPro, as well as files in the DBF and ODBC formats used by products such as ACT!, Alpha Four, GoldMine, and Lotus Approach. Alpha Five and Microsoft Access easily import each other's data, but additional features in Alpha Five allow you to do custom imports as well.
