IBM To Trot Out DB2 Express, Domino And Tivoli Brethren

IBM this week plans to formally unveil an Express version of its DB2 database that's tailored for midmarket customers and their supporting partners.

IBM is slated to outline the DB2 Express effort on Tuesday at PartnerWorld here. Although pricing details have yet to be finalized, the database is expected to cost less than $1,000 per CPU. The company already offers Express versions of its WebSphere Application Server and WebSphere Portal Server. CRN broke the news of DB2 Express last October.
