VERITAS Delivers First Cluster File System for Oracle9i RAC

ATLANTA -- HP WORLD -- - August 13, 2003 - VERITAS Software Corporation (Nasdaq: VRTS), the leading storage software company, today announced it is shipping the industry's first cluster file system for Oracle9i Real Application Clusters (RAC) on the HP-UX 11i platform, the VERITAS[tm] Database Edition/Advanced Cluster for Oracle9i Real Application Clusters software product. This new product underscores VERITAS's leadership in non-array based storage management software[i] and its commitment to heterogeneous platform support.

With today's announcement, VERITAS extends its leading existing Solaris solution for Oracle9i RAC to the HP platform, including HP-UX 11i and a wide variety of HP servers and industry-standard storage arrays. VERITAS Database Edition/Advanced Cluster software helps organizations manage their Oracle9i RAC implementations on raw disk.
