Oracle Leads Industry with Record Number of Security Evaluations

REDWOOD SHORES, Calif., Oct. 7, 2003 - (http://www.oracle.com/tellmemore/?2436825) Oracle Corp. (NASDAQ: ORCL), the world's largest enterprise software company, today announced the completion of its 16th and 17th independent database security evaluations, marking a significant milestone in the company's efforts to deliver the most secure, mission-critical software.

Oracle has completed the International Common Criteria (ISO 15408) security evaluation at Evaluation Assurance Level (EAL) 4, the industry's most rigorous assessment for commercially available software, for Oracle9i Database Release 2 and Oracle9i Label Security Release 2, a key security option in Oracle9i Database Release 2.
