Ispirer Systems' database migration software SQLWays 3.7 supports new enterprise feature in MySQL: Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and Sybase stored procedures can now be migrated to MySQL version 5.0

April 17, 2004 - Ispirer Systems Ltd., a leading provider of complete and multi-platform database migration solutions, has released the new version of its innovative database migration software SQLWays 3.7 capable of converting Oracle PL/SQL, Microsoft SQL Server Transact-SQL and Sybase Transact-SQL and Watcom-SQL stored procedures to MySQL, the world's most popular open source database.

Support for stored procedures, i.e. business logic executed on the database server, is a new feature that has been recently added to MySQL version 5.0, which is currently available for testing and evaluation. The new functionality largely increases the number of enterprise applications that can benefit from the high performance, reliability and cost of MySQL.
