By Linda Cole

FileMaker, Inc. is getting into the holiday spirit early by offering one free copy of FileMaker Pro 7 for every copy purchased, with a limitation of only one free copy per individual or company. The free copy, which is fully functional, may be given to a friend, colleague, customer or a charity and will be shipped directly from FileMaker, Inc.

Charitable contributions can be picked from a drop-down list and include such categories as abused women, homeless, minorities, job training, community revitalization or youth and will be distributed in collaboration with Gifts in Kind International.

This offer is in effect until December 15, 2004. New purchases of boxed versions of FileMaker Pro 7 made between October 5, 2004 and that date will be eligible for the give-a-way. Software upgrades, updates, volume licenses and/or site licenses are not eligible.

FileMaker Pro is an easy-to-use database software that provides the ability to import and organize any type of information. Features of FileMaker Pro 7 include multiple windows in the same database, reports with calculation-based formatting, background options and sorting options, the ability to confirm record and layout changes prior to saving, sharing features and security options.

Founded in 1998, FileMaker, Inc. is headquarted in Santa Clara, CA, with approximately 250 employees located in eight offices around the world.
