EnterpriseDB Announces Its Selection by Sun Microsystems to Provide PostgreSQL Support

ISELIN, N.J., Aug. 8, 2006 – EnterpriseDB, the world's leading enterprise-class, open source database company, announced today that Sun Microsystems, Inc. has selected EnterpriseDB to provide Sun with technical support and related professional services and training for Sun's PostgreSQL offering. Sun recently integrated PostgreSQL, the world's most advanced open source database, into its Solaris(TM) 10 Operating System (OS). EnterpriseDB's flagship product, EnterpriseDB Advanced Server, is an enterprise-class database that runs applications written for Oracle and is based on PostgreSQL. EnterpriseDB is a significant contributor to and supporter of the PostgreSQL code base and the PostgreSQL developer community.
