Quest Software Launches First Development Tool For Multiple DB2 Platforms

By DatabaseJournal.com Staff

[From Quest Software, Inc.]

ALISO VIEJO, Calif., September 12, 2006 – Quest Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: QSFT) today announced version 2.0 of Toad for IBM DB2, now including support for DB2 z/OS. Toad for DB2 is the first product to provide developers, database administrators (DBAs) and business analysts with a single development environment for DB2 Linux, Unix, Windows (LUW) and z/OS. Toad for DB2 decreases the need for in-depth knowledge of DB2 z/OS. Users no longer have to develop using the manual methods that have traditionally been the only choice for developers working on DB2 z/OS. This release demonstrates how Quest’s award-winning Toad product family, now used by more than 500,000 customers worldwide, continues to empower users with the ability to deliver higher quality database applications in heterogeneous database environments.
