Autonomic DB2 Optimization Tool For IBM System i

Centerfield Technology, Inc. announced the development of the first autonomic tool designed to optimize DB2 for i5/OS. AutoDBA, short for the autonomic database assistant component, provides expert DB2 advice and options to automatically implement that advice. The first release will focus on fully optimizing database indices (DDS logical files and SQL indices); with the objective of making SQL and RPG programs that process large amounts of data much more efficient.
