IBM Announces Industry's First Universal Database Cache

LAS VEGAS - 27 Oct 2008: Today IBM announced IBM solidDB Universal Cache, relational, in-memory database technology that accelerates not only IBM’s relational databases, but also other industry-leading databases.

An industry first, solidDB Universal Cache relies on relational, in-memory database software to accelerate IBM’s own DB2 and Informix Dynamic Server, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle and Sybase, increasing their performance up to ten times.
