Six Microsoft .NET Developer Exams Added to MCDBA Certification Elective Options

Six Microsoft .NET developer exams have been added to the elective exam options available for the Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) certification and will be acknowledged on candidates' transcripts beginning in December 2002.

The .NET developer exams include:

  • Exam 70-305 - Developing and Implementing Web Applications with Visual Basic .NET and Visual Studio .NET
  • Exam 70-306 - Developing and Implementing Windows-based Applications with Visual Basic .NET and Visual Studio .NET
  • Exam 70-310 - Developing XML Web Services and Server Components with Visual Basic .NET and the Microsoft .NET Framework
  • Exam 70-315 - Developing and Implementing Web Applications with Visual C# .NET and Visual Studio .NET
  • Exam 70-316 - Developing and Implementing Windows-based Applications with Visual C# .NET and Visual Studio .NET
  • Exam 70-320 - Developing XML Web Services and Server Components with Visual C# and the Microsoft .NET Framework
With these six new exam options, the MCDBA elective roster now comprises 12 exams (only one is required). In addition to the require elective, MCDBA candidates are required to pass three core exams: one SQL Server Administration exam (Exam 70-028 SQL 7.0 Administration / Exam 70-228 SQL 2000 Enterprise Administration), one SQL Server Design exam (Exam 70-029 SQL 7 Design / Exam 70-229 SQL 2000 Enterprise Design), and one Networking Systems exam (Exam 70-215 Administering Windows 2000 Server).
