SAP Follows Oracle, IBM Suit with AMD X86-64 SupportNovember 27, 2002 [From the inquirer]Hard and fast on the inquirer's earlier story that Oracle will support AMD's "Hammer" X86-64 technology, it now appears that German mega-software giant SAP is also porting products for the platform. And it appears that SuSE, perhaps more famous for its Linux work, but also a close AMD X86-64 teamster, is helping SAP port its R/3 database.
