States to Cooperate on Oracle Bid Probe

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Attorneys general from about 30 U.S. states which have been reviewing Oracle Corp.'s ORCL.O $7.3 billion hostile bid for PeopleSoft PSFT.O have come to a formal agreement to cooperate on an antitrust probe, The Wall Street Journal reported on Friday.

The states, including New York and California, have already spent more than a month reviewing the deal, but a Justice Department antitrust investigation running simultaneously has received more attention, the report said.
