Along with cloud computing, dark traffic, social networks, industrialization of hacking, scareware, localized attacks, attacks on virtualized environments, windows 7, and mobile maleware, data breaches will continue to cause havoc within businesses, government departments, and for regulators in 2010. While it was reported that many of the data breaches in 2009 were unintentional (don’t ask me where they got that) it is expected that breaches in security and malicious intent will grow steadily in 2010 through hacking, cyber crime, and theft by ex-employees.
