Database Administrator among IT Jobs to Grow in Employment Stats

DBAs are among the top categories in an increase in IT employment. Despite the general lack of new jobs in the economy, U.S. IT employment is up about 5% according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ quarterly survey, and the number of IT pros working is the third-highest quarterly IT employment figure for the past 10 years. However, IT unemployment is still high at 5.4%. Another survey discovered that almost half of U.S. IT leaders were actually looking to hire while only 4% were likely to lay off.
