Database Development Group Indicates that PostgreSQL Versions are Near End of Support

Database developers of the free database system PostreSQL have announced that the next bug fix or security update for versions 7.4 and 8.0 will be its last. The advice given is to upgrade to the current version 8.4.4 as even PostgreSQL 8.1 will be stop being updated in November.
