This year’s Collaborate, put on by IOUG, may prove to be one of the best events for database professionals that IOUG has ever done. This year, because of the acquisition of Sun, Oracle will be bringing together in one place, not only past Oracle products we have grown to expect, Sun products such as servers, storage, Solaris, Java, and of course MySQL. Effectively having in one place the full system stack of hardware, operating system, database, middleware, and applications and providing benefit to customers on how they all work together.
