According to Curt Monash of intelligent enterprise, business and competition seems to be clear as a consistent picture emerges. As noted by Mr. Monash:
There seems to be many vendors (such as Vertica and Infobright) that claim that business is going strong as well as several competitors in related businesses. Others such as Oracle’s Exadata has become a clear competitor while Teradata is seen as somewhat weak at this points even though Teradata continues to attract customers. Also absent on the minds of competitors is HP’s Neoview and no one ever seems to mention competing against DB2.
