A file clerk was given 12 months probation for illegally accessing some 60 confidential passport files—proving once again that security threats are, if not more, prevalent within organizations. The unfortunate outcome, or piece of information, is that Debra Sue Brown (the file clerk) had been looking at sensitive information for close to three years and that her illegal activity was based on curiosity.
