We’ve all experienced periods of unacceptable performance. At Georgian College this was most previlant during registration periods. To remedy, Georgian College migrated their Peoplesoft apps to Linux servers along with an upgrade to Oracle 11g on RAC with ASM. The performance issues went away with actual performance improvements to boost. High availability and scalability were nice side benefits.
