Increased Management Options and Faster Performance for Idera SQL Server Backup and Recovery Solutions

Aug 2, 2010

The latest SQL Server backup and recovery solution (SQL safe 6.4, SQL safe lite 6.4, and SQL virtual database 1.4) from Idera helps DBAs increase compression and improve performance than typical SQL Server backups. Simple right-click and restore functionality help to eliminate wizard approaches and increase productivity by:

  • managing an entire network of SQL Server backups
  • re-execute previous backup operations
  • backup file verification
“With SQL safe, we have one place we can go to manage our backup and recovery operations and see if things are performing the way they should be,” said Chad Markle, Senior DBA at Metropolitan Telecommunications, an integrated communications provider to more than 5,000 businesses across the U.S. “Also, SQL virtual database allows us to simply attach any log backups and within a few minutes, I’m accessing the data in the backup files.”
