The 2010 Eclipse User Survey results are out, and some may be surprised about how things are going for MySQL. Quite contrary to many fears regarding Oracle’s control over the open source database, MySQL usage has actually risen to 31.8 percent in 2010 from 27.7 percent last year. Opposite that is Oracle’s database which fell in usage from 27.3 percent in 2009 to 21.8 percent in 2010.
